Tim Moore has had a 23-year career in accounting, investment banking, stockbroking and asset management. Tim has a BSc (Hons), an MBA, is a Certified Practising Accountant and is a Master Stockbroker of the Securities and Derivatives Association. Tim was for many years CEO of Hartleys Limited - an associate company of Royal Bank of Canada's RBC Dominion Securities.
Tim was a non-executive director of Challenger eFinancial Capital Limited - a listed fund managed by Challenger Asset Management. Tim was a foundation director of Poynton Asset Management, an Australian equities manager subsquently sold to Challenger, and Poynton Asia a Singapore-based asset mangement joint venture with NM Rothschild. In 2007 Tim completed the Private Wealth Management programme run jointly by the Institute of Private Investors and the Wharton School University of Pennsylvania in the United States.
Since 2003 Tim has been involved in a number of buy-outs. In 2003 he funded the management buy-out of Surpac Minex Group and then in 2006 facilitated a merger between Surpac Minex Group and Gemcom Software International, Inc. The combined entity is now a leading global provider of general mine planning software and is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Tim remains a board member and shareholder.
Tim has been a director of Dorado Multiplier Fund Limited, a public offer ASX share fund, since August 2005 and is a director of its manager Dorado Asset Management. Tim was the foundation director of Dorado Capital with Gavin Nicholas.
Tim's community activities have included board positions with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Kids Help Line, Opera WA and Axiss Australia (the financial services division of Invest Australia which positions Australia as a global financial services centre in the Asian time zone). He is currently the Chapter Chairman of the Young Presidents' Organisation in Western Australia.
